    Dr. Sarah Dolven, MD FACE

    We are very excited to have Sarah Dolven, MD FACE, join our team here at Magnolia Endocrinology as an endocrinologist.

    Dr. Dolven completed her endocrinology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, as well as her residency. She fulfilled her internship at the University of California in Davis, Ca.

    Dr. Dolven earned her Doctor of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and her Bachelor of Arts in zoology at the University of California in Berkeley, Ca.

    Dr. Dolven is board-certified in endocrinology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and an accomplished researcher with work published in Marine Biology and Molecules, Fossils and the Origin of Tetrapods.

    Prior to Magnolia Endocrinology, Dr. Dolven was a founder and practicing endocrinologist at Endocrinology Consultants, and she was the Chief Endocrinologist at Prevecare. Dr. Dolven was the Assistant Clinical Professor of Endocrinology at MUSC, where she shared her passion for endocrinology with her students.

    In her free time, Dr. Dolven offers her services at The Dream Centers’ outpatient free clinic in North Charleston.

    Magnolia Endocrinology Office Policies

    Here at Magnolia, we would like to maintain good organizational flow and workflow efficiencies throughout the office and to guarantee that your needs are met, our office policies are as follows:
    • Please call at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. A fee of $25.00 will be charged to those who do not show for their appointment, or do not give proper notice when canceling or rescheduling.
    • If you do not show up for 3 scheduled appointments in a row within a rolling calendar year, we will request that you seek care with another provider.
    • Please allow up to 7 days to receive notification of test results.
    • Please bring a list of your medications to your appointment, so that we may keep your medical records up to date.
    • Please check on any refills needed prior to your appointment so that we may fill them at your visit.
    • If you have had any blood work or radiology testing performed prior to your visit, and it is pertaining to your visit, please bring these with you, or have them faxed to the office at 854.201.1983.
    • If you require a refill for a prescription and you are not scheduled to come in for an appointment, please have your pharmacy send a prescription refill request to us. You may also call the office and provide us with the name/phone number of your pharmacy, and the medication that needs to be filled. We will electronically send your request to the pharmacy.
    • Please allow up to 24 hours for calls to be returned for non-urgent problems. If your insurance requires a referral, please confirm the referral was sent by your primary care physician or referring physician before your appointment.
    • If your insurance requires a co-pay, please be prepared to pay at the time of service.
    • In event of an emergency, please report to one of our local ER's or dial 911.

    Amy Turner, MPAS, PA-C

    Bachelor of Science in Biologic Sciences in 2006: LSU, Baton Rouge, LA

    Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2014: LSU Health Sciences Center- Shreveport, LA

    Amy was born and raised right outside of New Orleans, LA, and bleeds Purple and Gold! Geaux LSU Tigers!

    Amy has over 10 years of endocrine experience and is very passionate about educating patients about diabetes and endocrinology. Amy specifically loves reviewing CGMs and adjusting insulin pumps to achieve optimal glycemic control for each patient.

    Amy proudly supports the military with her husband who currently serves in the Air Force at Joint Base Charleston. She and her family are very excited about moving to Summerville and exploring the beautiful area. She is still looking for the best Gumbo!

    Temple W. Simpson, MPAS, PA-C

    Undergraduate: Clemson University, BS Health Science and Minor in Microbiology

    Graduate: Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, Medical University of SC, Charleston, SC

    Temple has 13 years of experience as a PA and a decade of experience in Endocrinology. Nutrition and general healthy lifestyle/behaviors are an integral part of her “medication regimen.” Although she has a special interest in diabetes, insulin pumps, and thyroid disease, she practices all aspects of adult endocrinology. It is very fulfilling to help patients understand the “why behind the what” and in turn become very successful with managing their medical conditions.

    Outside of medicine, you can find her outside “diggin’ in the dirt” or just being in nature. She is originally from Ninety Six, SC, and loves to visit back home any chance she gets.
