We are excited to welcome Rebecca Nelson, PA-C, to our team! Rebecca brings a strong background in endocrinology and a passion for patient-centered care to her role as a Physician Assistant.
Rebecca completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Charleston Southern University, where she focused on evidence-based medicine and explored the role of glucagon-like peptide receptor agonists in treating binge eating disorder for her master’s thesis. During her clinical training, she gained extensive experience in endocrinology working with patients managing complex conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other hormonal imbalances.
Her medical experience extends beyond her PA education. Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Rebecca worked as a Certified Medical Assistant in various specialties, including endocrinology, family medicine, and internal medicine. This hands-on experience strengthened her skills in patient care, diagnostic testing, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Rebecca is certified by the NCCPA, holds an active South Carolina Physician Assistant license, and maintains advanced certifications in ACLS and PALS. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, reflecting her dedication to staying current in her field.
Rebecca is excited to bring her expertise in endocrinology and her commitment to compassionate care to our practice, serving the Charleston community and beyond. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering and giving back to underserved populations, including participating in a recent mission trip to the Dominican Republic. We are thrilled to have her on board!

Temple has 13 years of experience as a PA and a decade of experience in Endocrinology. Nutrition and general healthy lifestyle/behaviors are an integral part of her “medication regimen.” Although she has a special interest in diabetes, insulin pumps, and thyroid disease, she practices all aspects of adult endocrinology. It is very fulfilling to help patients understand the “why behind the what” and in turn become very successful with managing their medical conditions.
Outside of medicine, you can find her outside “diggin’ in the dirt” or just being in nature. She is originally from Ninety Six, SC, and loves to visit back home any chance she gets.
